周五，Mozilla的首席财务官Eric Muhlheim在法庭上证实，如果法院执行美国司法部对Google的提案，Firefox可能会被迫关停。
司法部希望禁止Google支付费用以成为第三方浏览器（包括Firefox）的默认搜索引擎。
Muhlheim指出，Firefox的90%收入来自Mozilla的盈利部门，而85%的收入来自与Google的协议，如此巨大的损失将迫使Mozilla进行重大裁员，影响Firefox的产品吸引力，甚至可能导致浏览器的倒闭。
Mozilla还可能因此减少对开源网络工具和气候变化研究的资助。
